What is rejection

What is Rejection?

Rejection: the act of pushing someone or something away as being worthless, invaluable or unworthy

Rejection is one of those traumas that doesn’t heal instantaneously, but, requires a progressive healing over time. It’s a 2-parter: 1) deliverance from rejection itself, and 2) redemption from the effects or scar tissue of rejection. Once you are healed from it though, everything else is EASY. The love you were missing starts to pour in. Those job and business opportunities start to open up. Life gets good and it gets there quickly!

Rejection is one of the enemy’s weapons of choice. That’s because it affects so very much of your life and the damage it can do will affect you for the rest of your life. It’s at the heart of most suicides, because when people don’t feel loved and accepted, the hurt of it can get to be too much. Most people who have suffered under a great weight of rejection, even if they’ve never attempted it, have thought several times about committing suicide. I was one of them.

Our need to be in community with others, to be loved and not be alone is at the very core of who we are, and when we don’t have it for a long period of time, the spirit of rejection can come in and wreak havoc over us and our lives causing us to think rejection has overtaken everything in our present and future. It seeks to steal, kill and destroy and if left unchecked, it will do just that.
